Evolution of the Influencers: Issues and Trends
Facing New Media Today

Spend the evening mingling with NYC’s brightest media minds. Microsoft Developer Evangelist, Lynn Langit, our keynote, will open up the event discussing “intrapreneurship” and women’s initiatives. Engage in a panel discussion with top entrepreneurs and executives from BlogHer: Gina Garrubbo, Cnet: Daphne Kis, Former Chairwoman, Bartle Bogle & Hegarty: Cindy Gallop, Movoxx: Alec Andronikov and Bootstrapper: Richard Hecker as they debate on the trends and evolution of new media. This exciting panel will be moderated by Jeff Pulver.

A champagne toast, courtesy of vinter Caposaldo Prosecco will be done to welcome Microsoft, Qtask, Black Card Circle® , Black Card Circle® Foundation and our presenting sponsors. Qtask, a premiere SaaS collaborative project solution for groups, will support livestreaming, performed by the talented interactive digital and video strategist, Mark Burstiner, while Demotix will graciously photograph the event. In the spirit of giving back, Lounge 48 will generously donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of food and beverage to Black Card Circle® Foundation (BCCF), an IRS-recognized 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that promotes self-reliance and sustainability. GITnyc is thrilled that BCCF will further support Books and Beyond.

A framed photographic montage, including an autographed “Dark Knight” photo signed by Executive Producer Michael Uslan and his wife, Nancy were generously donated. Proceeds from on ongoing GITnyc auction of this piece will go toward Books and Beyond, the Rwandan Critical Thinking/English Literacy program envisioned by Nancy Uslan. Andrew Berends and Liam Alexandar will also be donating photo prints.

48 Lounge, Girls in Tech, QTask and Black Card Circle are pleased to offer a specially prepared menu in honor of New York's finest digital and media influencers who keep this city on the cutting edge of innovation, including drinks: GITake, Qtini, and Black Card Collins. Special sweet treats are being provided by our local artisan bakers and cupcake enthusiasts: Angel's Kakes, Cupcakes Take the Cake, Lux Sugar, Tasty Lacy's, and The Thrifty Gourmet.

Raffle prizes are courtesy of our gracious sponsors: Microsoft, Garage Technology Ventures and Rock of Ages, the musical. Everyone will leave with a gift bag courtesy of Microsoft including amenities from Microsoft, Earth Cinema Circle and more.

You don’t want to miss out on this very special event.
